Foreign Minister attends 44th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting
(VNA - 15/11/2011) - A Vietnamese delegation led by Foreign Minister (FM) Pham Binh Minh attended the 44 th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting that opened in Bali , Indonesia on Nov. 15.
The FMs are scheduled to discuss the agenda contents of the 19 th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and related meetings, including issues relating to the building of the ASEAN Community on three pillars and the ASEAN Community in a Global Community of Nations.
Other items of the agenda include global and regional issues of mutual concern such as promoting the negotiation on Southeast Asian Nuclear Weapon Free Zone Treaty, the implementation of the ASEAN Amity and Cooperation Treaty and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea, the ASEAN Maritime Forum, ASEAN connectivity, the ASEAN common visa policy for non-ASEAN citizens and relations between ASEAN and dialogue partners./.
